Leonard Vole stands accused of murdering a rich widow. The stakes are high with shocking witness testimony, impassioned outbursts from the dock and a young man’s fight to escape the hangman’s noose. Generally regarded as one of Christie’s most accomplished plays, this suspenseful thriller keeps audiences guessing until the very end.
Kevin Cruze decided to go back to an Agatha Christie script and planned to stage this production initially in 2020 as part of their 7th year anniversary. However, the Covid19 pandemic and the recession in the country later on forced COLD Theatre 7 to push the production to November 2022. However, it so happens that Agatha Christie’s ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ was staged 7 years later the last Christie production from COLD Theatre 7 ‘The Mousetrap’ in 2015.
